Follow these steps to sign-up on OurPetPolicy.
- Receiving your sign up information: You will either receive an email from OurPetPolicy, or your property manager (PM) will distribute a sign-up sheet or provide a link. This link could be sent via email or included in your application, depending on the property management company.
- The link you are sent will prompt you to set your password.
- After you have created a password, you will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your email address or phone number.
- After creating your new account you will be prompted to specify your residency or application status.
- Next, select the property, unit, and anticipated lease dates.
- After completing your property information, you can now add all animals to your profile. Please indicate whether your animal is a pet, service animal, or ESA.
- You may now access your account and see the animal profile that has been started.
- You may now upload all of the necessary information to complete your animal’s profile:
- Photo of animal
- Animal Species, Breed
- Birthday
- Color, Weight, Gender
- Spayed/Neutered
- House Training
- Agression History
Rabies Record
- After you have completed your animal profile, you will need to review and sign the animal addendum.
- Next, please upload the required vet records. Most properties require a current rabies vaccination record. Some properties may require other records such as a City License, proof of spay/neuter (pets only), or other vet records. OurPetPolicy keeps track of what is required for each property and will inform you if you are missing anything.
- If at any point, you are unable to provide the required information during the application, please provide a reason.
- If you have a pet, this is the end of your sign-up.
- Some properties require payment for this application. You may need to submit your payment to complete your application.
- Some properties require you to complete responsible animal ownership training before completing your application. You may need to complete the courses before your application is considered complete.
